Aaron was born and raised in Pennsylvania. As a youngster in 1959 when Hawai'i became a State his grade school teacher asked everyone in the class to choose a State to create a presentation about. You guessed it, he selected Hawai'i and “The Dream” began it's fulfillment. By age 19 he was saving the money for a one-way student standby ticket from Boston to Honolulu, the final destination being the island of Kaua'i. Arriving there at 20 with a friend and a couple hundred bucks in pooled money in 1971. When the money was gone it was time to get a job and the two choices at the unemployment office were to work in the sugar cane fields or in the hotels. Well that was easy… turns out he loved being part of the Hawaiian hospitality industry first as a busboy, then waiter and moving on to sommelier at Coco Palms Resort. Meeting lots of movie stars was a fun experience. He worked hard and was able to buy his first home in 1976 brand new for 39,000! Eventually he moved on to Kaua'i Museum as Curator of Collections, later becoming Director in the mid 1980's. By 1988 with a renewed call to adventure, the Big Island beckoned. Seeing the possibility to move his client services ability from the hospitality industry to Real Estate seemed a perfect fit and he became a licensed agent in Kona in 1990. These days… sure, there's a knowledge, experience and competency base but there's much more to it than that. There's a love of this place and it's specialness. It's not about pay checks. It's about the fulfillment of dreams… YOUR dreams that make it all worthwhile. Share yours with Aaron... and meet Wilbur his constant companion.
